Official Resignation

May 8, 2008

It’s been fun but lately neither sourlight or myself have posted anything.  There’s a reason though, currently our lives have been taken up by some turmoil and some good stuff but there’s just not time for me to be interested in gaming right now.  I still play games but I don’t have much motivation to post about them seeing as how I’m always either playing guitar or just doing other stuff.

So I officially resign from Gaming Caddy.  I may post in the future or maybe I’ll get back into gaming, but for now it’s not where my heart is.  I had fun though, and thank you to the people who visit the site.

Battlefield Heroes

April 1, 2008

EA has been creating a lot of buzz with their games recently because they’re starting to become better and better. And now EA is giving a game out to the public for free. It’s name? Battlefield Heroes. A team based TPS set during WWII via web based browser. It seems like there are no hooks or strings attached, and it’s DICE, the actual makers of the Battlefield series, so it’s in great hands. The game shifts away from the realistic and goes for a cartoony approach ala Team Fortress 2. My guess is that so everyone’s PC has a chance of running it. The initial game will only come with two maps since DICE looks at Battlefield servers and only sees two popular maps being played, although they will add more as game players increase (Hopefully). This game is actually decently high on the list of awesome sounding games.

Garry’s Mod Review

March 12, 2008

Garry’s Mod makes me giddy like a school girl, mostly because you can do crap like the pic shows, and that means attaching BALLOONS!  It’s amazing, go buy it.  </randomreview>

Recently, Sony Entertainment and Evolution Studios announced a new PS3 exclusive, Motorstorm 2. —

“The PlayStation 3 racer is indeed moving from arid Monument Valley to a lush Pacific island, an island apparently known for its remote location and 16 “diverse multi-route tracks.” Instead of mud, rocks, dust and the occasional cliff, MotorStorm 2 will feature natural hazards like “tangled undergrowth, swift flowing rivers, choking volcanic clouds and searing lava pools.” Sounds just fantastic. The official release on the matter talks up an Autumn release, arriving with a “host of game modes and rewards.” – Quoted from Kotaku

Hopefully I’ll get a PS3 before this and MGSIV are released.

Red Velvet RROD Cookies

March 11, 2008

Snack Or Die, once again brings us masterly crafted gaming nourishment.  Not like any of us lazy bums will actually make these in between CoD4 matches though.  They’re pretty though! My Great Aunt makes some red velvet cookies, they’re pretty delicious, she puts chocolate chips in them.

“Red velvet cookies with cream cheese frosting adorned with the Xbox 360 red ring.

These red velvet cookies make for the perfect comfort cookie food for that someone who has recently lost a 360.”

Sorry Jocelyn, but I don’t think that they’d comfort you.  If anything they’d make you weep in a corner while staring at Halo 3 box art in your mind….  Until you tasted them, then it might comfort you…..  Anyway hit up the link for the recipe if you do decide to make them, or just look at moar pics.

“Take-Two Interactive announced today that BioShock 2 was officially in the works, under the development wing of the recently formed 2K Marin. The sequel to the Xbox 360 and PC shooter is planned for a fourth-quarter fiscal 2009 release date. Take-Two’s fiscal year matches the calendar year, so expect it to hit unspecified platforms before the ’09 holidays.

Take-Two also noted that the original BioShock has 2 million unit sales under its belt since its August ’07 release”  – Quoted from Kotaku

So get your Eve syringes ready, we’re going down to Rapture once again.  Maybe this time it’ll have some replay value (sorry guys, it’s true).
